10 Brilliant Events for Bookbug Week 2017
Bookbug Week is just around the corner (15-21 May). To help celebrate Bookbug’s Big Giggle, there are lots of song, story and rhyme events happening across Scotland. You can find out what’s happening in your area by using our event search, but in the meantime, here are just a few of the fantastic free events taking place:
On Wednesday 17 May, best-selling children’s author Alex T Smith will be taking part in a very special event for little ones. Sign up to watch live or watch on demand with your little ones to see how Alex draws Claude, the mischievous little dog who’s the star of his hilarious books.
A special day of fun, games and giggles at Callendar House, with bubble displays, story-telling, laughter yoga, music, buggy walks and drawing with Bookbug Week illustrator Kasia Matyjaszek!
Celebrate the reopening of the Carnegie Library with a day of fun – Bookbug Sessions, games, under the sea baby sensory room, arts and crafts, Gaelic fun and games and drawing with Kasia Matyjaszek!
Belly laughs are guaranteed at this fun family workshop that’s great for older siblings too. The perfect way to get the weekend off to a fun start! (booking required).
Join in a non-stop Bookbug Session! Running from 9.30am to 4.30pm, drop in at any time during the day for giggles, fun songs, rhymes and stories – this could be a record breaker!
Home-start Edinburgh West and South West have teamed up with Bookbug to bring you a series of free workshops for Bookbug Week – find one near you and get creative sharing stories as a family!
