Bookbug's Book of the Month: Rex by Simon James

Rex by Simon James
ISBN: 978-1-4063-4822-4

Once upon a 100 MILLION years ago a terrifying tyrannosaurus roamed the earth. He scared every dinosaur he saw.

Then, one night, he found an egg in his cave…and so begins the touching story of a little dinosaur looking for a dad.

2016 is Year of the Dad, and I love this book as it helps to re-frame what being a “Dad” really means. This touching story beautifully illustrates the important part strong male role models play in helping children form their own identity, and shows us that just because someone isn’t a biological father it doesn’t mean they can’t be an amazing Dad.
