Pack Gifting Training
The Bookbug Pirate Pack: A tool to support the fostering of a love of books and reading for life
Of interest to: Anyone who gifts Bookbug Pirate Packs
Description: The course aims to show staff how the Bookbug Pirate Pack (the free high quality pack of books provided to every ante pre-school child by the Scottish Government) can be integrated into the practice of Early Years settings. Research shows us that in order to impact on parents’ behaviour and encourage them to read at home with their child, the Bookbug packs need to be gifted effectively and parents need to be involved in the process.
Course length: Run as half-day course or twilight session
Trainer: This training is delivered by Scottish Book Trust’s Early Years Trainer
