Bookbug Pirate Pack

Thank you for your support in gifting Bookbug Packs.  We would like to ensure that every parent who receives a Bookbug pack is given a consistent message about book sharing.  We hope that you find the information below useful when gifting the packs.

For three-year-olds

The Pirate Pack builds on the book sharing message of the first two packs with two more wonderful books and lots of exciting pirate themed contents. The Pirate Pack even comes with a sturdy metal 'Treasure Chest' pencil case, filled with lots of writing and drawing tools for early mark making.

How are these packs gifted?

Most children will receive their Bookbug Pirate pack at the age of three via their early years setting, i.e. pre-school, playgroup or nursery.
 
If a child does not attend such a group or is minded at home or with a childminder, we advise their parents to request a pack at their local library. Please visit the Local Contacts page of this website to see how the Pirate Pack is gifted in your area.
 
Please note that parents do not have to register or join the library to receive their Bookbug Pirate pack.

• Canvas Bag - child sized canvas bag featuring the Bookbug Pirate character – this bag has smaller handles to make it easy for children to carry by themselves.
• Two picture books – fantastic pirate-themed stories to share together with your child.

• Library Joining Leaflet -  Children are never too young to join the library!
