Bookbug Pirate Pack

For three year olds

The Bookbug Pirate Pack has been designed to support your child’s love of books, and to encourage their first attempts at writing and drawing.

The Pirate theme captures the sense of adventure and excitement felt by every child when they snuggle up with you and open the pages of a new story (or an old favourite!)

We hope that Bookbug Pirate will help you to give your child a lifelong love of books.

• Canvas Bag - child sized canvas bag featuring the Bookbug Pirate character – this bag has smaller handles to make it easy for children to carry by themselves.
• Two picture books –  fantastic pirate-themed stories to share together.
• Sturdy metal pencil case – featuring a 'Treasure Chest' design and packed with coloured pens, pencils and a pencil sharpener.
• Set of 5 large postcards – these postcards are perfect for sending to grandparents, neighbours and friends, with plenty of space for your child to make their marks. There’s even a blank one for your child to design!
• Pirate hat – Get creative and enjoy making and decorating a Bookbug Pirate hat together.
• Bookbug Pirate Parent's Guide – a publication filled with interesting articles on book sharing, celebrity interviews and expert advice on early mark making and numeracy. 

How is the Bookbug Pirate Pack gifted?

The Bookbug pirate pack is gifted to your child at the age of three via their early years setting i.e. pre-school, playgroup or nursery.

If your child does not attend an early years setting, please visit the Local Contacts section of this website for further information about how you can collect a pack in your area.

Please note that you do not have to register or join the library to receive your Bookbug Pirate pack.
