I have lived in Australia and Papua New Guinea and otherwise travelled widely enjoying a variety of careers including teaching and bookselling. My works include cookery books, a series of illustrated Scottish Folktales, a life of Burns and The History of Scotland for Children. Most recently published, Scottish Folk Tales for Children celebrates my career as a professional storyteller in the oral tradition.
Aside from Scottish folktales, my repertoire includes tales from around the world including Papua New Guinea and of course, the Dreamtime stories from Australia. I have visited schools, libraries and festivals throughout Scotland and abroad.
